George Dang

President of APACC

George Dang, an ethnic Chinese from Vietnam, is a prominent Asian-American entrepreneur and community leader in Montgomery County and in the state of Maryland. George retired after 23 years with AXA Group as an Executive Vice President and later was recruited by Acacia Life as the Managing Director for their Bethesda Office. Recently he and a team of professionals formed the company Acacia Financial Advisors, LLC to provide financial services in the areas of investment, insurance, and retirement. He also is a partner with Meiwah International, an international consulting company promoting trade between US and Asia. George is on the Governor¡¯s Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs and on the Advisory Board of the Maryland State Attorney General. George has made many contributions to non-profit organizations in the Washington area: he is co-founder and Board member of the Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce, was Chair of The New Comers Service Center, and is a member of the Montgomery College Foundation Board. George is also a Leadership Montgomery graduate. George speaks Cantonese, Mandarin Chinese, and Vietnamese and is involved with a very diverse Asian-American community.
